Kells Lane Primary School

Kells Lane Primary School is looking to appoint a private provider to run the breakfast, out of school and holiday clubs located within the school from the 1st of September 2007.

The clubs will offer approximately 40 places, depending upon Ofsted registration, and will be based in the school hall, community room and an area adjacent to the hall with access to the play areas and occasional use of the library also available.

Parenting Programme Event at Bede Children's Centre

Bede Children's Centre will be hosting an event on Thursday 21 June 2007 with the Local Area Agreement 'Parenting Programmes'.

The event will provide an opportunity for parents to access information about parenting programmes currently on offer and also to take part in consultation about what they would like and their views in relation to parenting programmes. Stands providing information on the current offer in Gateshead will be available including Triple P, Sungate Project, Mellow Parenting and Solihull. Fun activities for the children at the event include sensory sessions, Music and Movement, story telling, competitions and prizes.

June Events at Highfield Sure Start Children's Centre

A number of events have been organised to take place during June by Highfield Sure Start Children's Centre.

Baby and Toddler Group
Mondays 12.15pm - 2.15pm @ Highfield Community Centre
Run by parent volunteers our group is for babies, toddlers and their parents / carers. Activities include Messy Play, arts and crafts, healthy snack time and lots more fun.
£1 per child over 1 year.

Picnic in the Park
Friday 1 June 2007
Celebrating International Children's Day and National Sure Start Month, fun activities, all you need is a picnic!
Meet at Rowlands Gill Park 12.00pm - 2.30pm

Coffee Mornings @ St Joseph's Primary School, Highfield
Starts Monday 4 June 2007
Every Monday 9:00am - 10:00am
Everyone welcome. Free tea, coffee and juice.

Environmental Playday @ Highfield Community Centre
Tuesday 5 June 2007
9.30am - 11.30am
A fun day to promote recycling and being environmentally responsible. Activities include Junk Modelling and arts and crafts. Bring your own recycling.

Baby Social @ Highfield Community Centre
Starts Thursday 21 June 2007
Every Thursday 1.30pm - 3.30pm
For parents / carers with children aged 0-12 months. Comen and meet other parents / carers to get support and advice.

Leam Lane Sure Start Children's Centre Summer Half Term Activities

A number of events including 'Give Us a Smile', a trip to Saltwell Park and 'Give Us Another Smile' have been organised to take place during half-term week by Leam Lane Sure Start Children's Centre.

Come along and join in the Teeth Brushing Challenge, receive a free pack and join in the fun-filled Music and Movement session.

There will be a follow up session you will need to attend on Friday, please see information below.

Saltwell Park trip
1.00pm - 4.00pm

Join in and enjoy games and scavenger hunt at Saltwell Park.
Rain, hail or snow, please don't no-show! We have a room booked and indoor activities planned should the northern weather decide to appear.

Bring along your own packed lunch.
The bus will pick up at 12.45pm at Leam Lane Children's Centre and return to the Centre at 4.00pm.

Happy Healthy Lunch at Blaydon Winlaton Sure Start Children's Centre

On 30 May 2007 Blaydon Winlaton Sure Start Children's Centre are having a 'Happy Healthy Lunch' 11.30am - 1.30pm.

This is to coincide with a visit from the Early Years and Childcare Manager and the new director Alison Walton. Money, Money, Money at Felling Children's Centre

Come to a free half term event at Felling Children's Centre on Wednesday 30 May 2007 from 1.00pm - 3.00pm.

Find out about work, training and childcare options, advice about debt and benefits and how to manage your money better plus information about the Child Trust fund, Credit Union, Citizens Advice.

'Play Your Cards Right' Social Evening at Deckham Children's Centre

This is open to everyone registered with Deckham Children's Centre and takes place on Tuesday 15 May 2007 from 6.30pm - 8.30pm.

Cost is £1.00 per family and there is limited childcare available (this must be pre-booked a minimum of 1 week prior to the event) on a first come first served basis.
